McDonalds Glass - Camp Snoopy Collection - There Is No Excuse

When I was young, I was always told that I channeled the spirit of Lucy Van Pelt. When you're nine years old this is hardly a compliment - if ever I've met a bully in a comic strip, Lucy fit the role.

When I look at this collectible McDonalds drinking glass, however, I can't help but feel a little proud of my connection to Peanuts' most fidgety character. The Camp Snoopy Collection features Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Linus, Pigsty, Franklin and Sally Brown camping out in the forest - and huddled in sleeping bags, the scene looks less than luxurious. Until you reach Lucy, that is. Relaxing in a lounge chair with sunglasses and a cool glass of lemonade, she clearly knows how to make herself comfortable. I can almost hear her voice when she says, "There's No Excuse for Not Being Prepared!"

In great condition, this collectible is the sort of piece that can serve as a lesson. Next time you go camping, channel Lucy and go prepared!
